Ok - I just bought a new 002r this week. Digidesign is saying all these cool digirack plugins(Amplitube, Sampletank, etc) are included. I have none of these. I have the typical 4 band eq's, compressor - etc. Did I miss something? My install log file says 'installing digi rack plugins'. Yet, I have none of these. I wonder if my dealer sold my an older version that didn't have these included. That is either the case, or I am really dumb. Am I out of luck? Is there a separate CD that I am not seeing? My pro tools LE CD says 'digirack' plugins included.
You are confusing the "digirack" plug-ins, which you already have (EQ, comp, delay etc.), with the extra promo stuff that should have been included but probably wasn't due to your dealer selling you old stock. Go back to your dealer (or call them) and tell them the promo software wasn't included, they should have an upgrade pack for you (I think). Otherwise, call digi support tomorrow and register your system - they can tell you how to get the extra software.
Digirack plug-ins are those you see in the insert drop down list. Stuff like D-Verb etc. They are all there. Amplitube and Sampletank however are part of the "Bundlemania"offer that digi has been giving away since Aug 1 for all new purchases. If you ourchased after that date and did not have the bundle, your dealer may have the Cds to give you. Otherwise, register your Digi gear and CALL digi to inform them that you have not received your free bundle - they will expedite.
You guys are right - i totally mixed those terms up. Yea, the only reason I bought 002r is for something to travel with - but i was happy to get amplitude as I have sessions that use a plain electric guitar. Needless to say, thanks everyone for telling me the details. I'll call digi and my dealer. thanks.
