Hi! Is there a way to display a MIDI channel of selected events in a MIDI editor of Reaper? For example, in a toolbar (using something like dynamic text). The problem is that when you use more then 10 channels it is difficult to remember, which color corresponds to which channel.

Doesn't the Channel selector in the bottom-right corner of the MIDI Editor do what you want? (Granted, you will not see the notes on the other channels)

try using the filter also you could make your own midi color map png file and set the channel colors to exactly what you prefer to remember on the other hand... why have all the notes with all the diff channels in one midi item? why not make copies of that item for as many channels as you use, and then... use the filter to show one channel, then invert the filter and delete all notes that are not on that single channel. repeat until you have one midi item for each channel... then you have choices... you can have each item on it's own track with it's own name and send to your vsti ..or you can use Free Item positioning on one track and have them all stacked up there

so maybe: select one note and rt clk and see what channel it is on then set the filter to show only notes on that channel for editing when done, change the filter setting to a diff channel or just turn the filter off to see then all
