Why do people who use their mobiles whilst driving, hold the phone in their right hand and clamp their phones:angry2: to their left ear?

Possibly the same reason they use a handheld mobile while driving - stupidity!

Loads of stupid people out there who show little thought for anybody apart from themselves, then cause accidents because they were not paying attention and unable to control the car.

Yep, it's because they're selfish, pig-ignorant tossers. I love to see the cops nailing phone users almost as much as I like to see them nail the "I'm above the law" scumbags who drive in bus lanes. If I was a traffic cop, I'd stop all commercial vehicles as a matter of course as it appears to be actually compulsory for van drivers to use the phone whilst driving. Why is this? Is it because they genuinely don't care for the law per se or is it just that they think they're special? Grrr. Rant over. m.d.

You see them driving with the flat of their hand against their ears too - trying to disguise the fact they have a phone in their hands! Saw a woman the other day driving with phone in hand and what looked like a map on the steering wheel! I know people think motorists are easy targets, but when it comes to phone use, I'd like to see every single person prosecuted for it. I know police do a lot already, but I don't think it's enough. It's a shame we can't be deputised for a day, I'd love to pull people up on this - I'd do it for free too! Vipes

Do you think that it would possible to invent some sort of gizmo built into cars, which would cause loud interference on the cell phone when used with the ignitions witch on?

Arcturus, I love the idea of an "ignitions witch". We could get her to cast spells on all phone'n'drivers and turn them into frogs!! m.d.
