How to associate ifo file to ifoedit 0.96: My personal Guide

This guide will show you how to set ifo file in order to open them with ifoedit on mouse double click under windows 2000. What you will need: IfoEdit 0.96. I'll assume that it's installed in c:\ifoedit\ I'll also assume that your windows dir is C:\winnt\[list=1][*]Rename the file c:\winnt\ifoedit.ini to c:\winnt\ifoedit.old.[*]Create a new text file inside the folder c:\winnt\.[*]Rename the file you've just created to ifoedit.ini[*]Put those lines inside ifoedit.ini: [StartSettings] Uppercase=0 [IfoEditApp] WP=MCAAAAAAAAAAAAAABAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPJCAAAAAACCAAAAAAINDAAAAACMCAAAAA It's important that you put the code WP=MCAAAA... in a single line.[*]Save ifoedit.ini and set it as read only (Thanks 2cool for that).[*]Now open Windows explorer and go to tools->folder options->file types.[*]Browse the list: if you found the ifo file in the list, then go to step 9.[*]Click the new button. Windows will show a popup window. Write "ifo" in the file extension field and press ok[*]Click on the ifo file line and push the advanced button.[*]Remove any action present by clicking on it and clicking the remove button.[*]Press the new button and in the popup window that windows will show write exactly as follow: In the "Action" field: open In the "Application used to perform the action" field: "C:\Ifoedit\IfoEdit.exe" "%1" Then click OK.[*]Click OK.[*]Click Apply.[*]Click Close.[*]And Finally: Test your new association![/list=1] PS. thought i might bring this thread up now that ifoedit .971 is out. i works with xp. just one little problem i have. when ifoedit is opened it is minimized with just the top bar showing.
