HI, i have a v40 '97 and i bought on ebay the light switch, with the fog lights included (complete cube), and when i installed it in my car, the low beams are allways on!! The seller confirms tha it was tested before sent !?!?! what do you think about this problem? thanx

Your car is a phase 1 v40, the lights are always on unless you take the car to the main dealers and have them re-program the software, or I think there is a way to turn off the drl's by cutting a wire(s) at the back of the light switch.

probably just the DRL's are set to on, if it is there is a green light next to the dial that is illuminated even in off position, the following is the procedire for switching them on and off switch engine on turn light switch to sidelight (middle postion) pull and hold main beam lever turn light switch to off release main beam lever

Its a Volvo. The lights are always on. I think its the law in Sweden where Volvos come from.

It's the law in many countries, not only sweden however what's in common with this for righ side steering wheel version for uk only? That's weird...

Mine is a phase one and that method worked and think its the other way around!
