Hi, I'm using an RTW meter at the moment but I'm looking for another that gives the discovery required digital meter giving an RMS/VU Balistic reading of 300ms rise per 20dB. Can anyone recommend a meter that gives this reading and the digital peaks. I have a chromatec onscreen meter to give me the standard vu readings aswell. Thanks for your thoughts...

Hi Philper, Sorry I wasn't clear. I already have the LM100. its a meter that gives me digital readings of the RMS/VU ballistic I mentioned in my previous post that I'm looking for.

You mean C-Scale ??? Dorroughs might be the best in the business, but they are 600ms reponse meters. You still have to be carefull.

Why specifically C-scale as opposed to A? I'd think I'd want more indication of level on the quiet end than 6 more dB of peak on the top.

The reason is because you calibrate you system to -20dBFS = 0VU... you need 20 dB of headroom over 0VU. with A, you only have 14. with C you have 20.
